This burlap boutonniere is the perfect touch of rustic romance for the upcoming wedding season.
Step 1:
Cut two leaves out of burlap and two slightly smaller leaves out of the chevron ribbon.
Step 2:
Carefully cut popsicle stick in half. Glue chevron leaves on top of burlap leaves. Glue each leaf stack to the cut end of the popsicle stick.
Step 3:
Wrap popsicle stick in jute, glue at ends to secure.
Step 4:
To create the burlap flower, start by cutting a 5" strip of burlap. Pull strands of burlap from the middle leaving 3 strands at the top and bottom of the strip. Fold in half lengthwise and secure with glue. Roll up the strip from end to end and secure with glue.
Step 5:
Fluff the strands to puff out your flower. Glue a pearl to the center of the flower. Then Glue the flower to the top of the boutonniere.
Step 6:
To make strands of pearls start with an 8" strand of beading wire, fold in half and twist it together. Add pearls to the strand by aligning them back to back on the wire. The pearls are self-adhesive but you can use a little glue to make them more secure. Repeat this to create a second strand of wired pearls. Then attach them to the boutonniere and secure with glue.
