Create a beautiful fall tablescape starting with your own DIY Harvest Pumpkin Vase! In 6 Easy steps you can create this stunning vase from a real pumpkin using some creative craft supplies and techniques!
Step 1:
Cut a lid off of your pumpkin and scoop out the seeds and pulp. Make sure the exterior is dry and free of dirt.
Step 2:
Using a marker, free hand a swirl design and carefully trace over it with the hot glue gun. (Once glue is dry and cool, be sure to remove any stray glue strings before proceeding.)
Step 3:
Spray paint the entire pumpkin with metallic spray paint – let dry.
Step 4:
Mix acrylic paints together to create a light minty-green color and brush over the entire pumpkin in sections so the paint does not dry completely for the next step.
Step 5:
While the paint is still wet, use a paper towel to partially rub the paint off, revealing the gold underneath. You can add variation and create a more realistic “patina” by removing more or less paint in different areas.
Step 6:
Arrange flowers in your Harvest Pumpkin Vase to your liking. For added sparkle, dust some pine cones with glitter and add them to your arrangement.
