Make these absolutely adorable candy corn pieces out of clay! They’re a fun addition to any fall décor! Set them in a bowl or scatter them on a tabletop.
Step 1:
Divide the clay block into eight equal sections. We used 10 ounces of clay in a block that is 7" x 3" x 5/8" thick.
Step 2:
Roll the clay into balls.
Step 3:
Pinch one end of the clay ball into a pointed shape.
Press the pointed clay ball flat on a smooth surface.
Keep working the clay into a candy corn shape by flattening and pinching the clay. Our finished candy corn is approximately ½" to ¾" thick, and 1 ½” wide by 2" tall.
When the shape is well developed, roll the clay candy corn on its side to create smooth, rounded corners.
Step 4:
Use a paint brush to press lines into the clay candy corn, dividing the shape into thirds. Have the lines continue around all sides of the candy corn.
Step 5:
Bake the clay candy corn pieces at 250 degrees for ten minutes on one side, then flip and bake them for another ten minutes. Let cool.
Step 6:
Paint the bottom sections of the candy corn pieces yellow. Let dry.
Paint the middle sections of the candy corn pieces orange. Let dry. Optional tip: Coat the candy corn pieces with a clear spray paint or sealer if desired.
