Create this custom wood cross for the Easter Season or any time of the year.
Step 1:
Paint the base level of the cross crimson, including the edges. Let dry.
Step 2:
Apply tacky glue to the top level of cross and apply the burlap ribbon.
Dab tacky glue on top of the ribbon and let dry. Trim ribbon to the shape of the
top level of the cross.
Step 3:
Hot glue the jute to the edges of the base and top layers.
Step 4:
Decorate the cross with gems.
Step 5:
Make the designer tape flower. Press two pieces of foil tape together and cut out 5 large petals and 5 small petals. Cut a line about half way through each petal. Overlap the cut flaps and glue to create a 3D effect. Starting with the large petals, glue them together to form the base. Then glue the 5 small petals on top. Decorate with gems.
Step 6:
Glue the foil tape flower to the center of the cross and glue a loop of jute to back of the cross to hang.
