Create this vibrant St. Patty’s themed artwork in a few simple steps.
Step 1:
Download and print the free template. Line template up with glass frame (be sure to be careful handling the edges of the cut glass) and trace the outline with black puffy paint. Let dry.
Step 2:
Begin mixing the painting material. Beginning with the pot – pour some tacky glue onto the paint palette and add a drop of red, green, and blue. Add yellow if needed. Start painting the pot with a heavy coat.
Step 3:
Add another small amount of tacky glue to the palette and mix in a drop of green food dye. Mix well and paint the inside shapes of the flour leaf clover. Add another drop or two of green to the mix to achieve a darker green. Paint the rest of the clover and with the green still out, paint the 3rd stripe from the bottom.
Step 4:
Continue this process with blue, purple (mixing red and blue dye) and red for the rainbow. Keeping with rainbow order. (From top to bottom – red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple)
Step 5:
Next, mix together an orange (red and yellow) and paint the stripe and the bottoms of the coins. Let all the colors dry completely.
Step 6:
Mix together tacky glue and yellow dye and paint the appropriate stripe. Use this color to also paint the tops of the coins.
Step 7:
Step 7: Place the painted glass in the frame with the painted side facing out the back. Hot glue the edge of glass into frame. Hot glue ribbon on back to hang in window.
