Decorate your Summer parties with this freshly-squeezed take on a burlap banner!
A) Cut a 5.5” piece of Burlap Ribbon.
B) Fold the piece in half and cut a circular line from one corner to the opposite.
C) When you unfold the ribbon, the result should be a half circle.
A) Mix your red paint together with a little yellow and white to get a fruity red color. Paint the majority of your shape with this color, leaving a .5” border along the curved edge.
B) Mix your green paint with a little white and paint the edge of the curved cut, leaving the inner half of that space bare burlap.
C) Paint three teardrop shapes in the center using black paint. Let dry.
A) Apply white paint to the bare burlap strip.
B) While the paint is still wet, top with the Iridescent Glitter.
A) Follow Step 1 of the Watermelon steps to get a half circle shape. Mix together your red, yellow, and, white paints to get a light orange. Paint the majority of your shape with this color, leaving a .5” border along the curved edge.
B) With a slightly darker orange, paint the edge of the curved cut leaving the inner half of that shape bare burlap.
C) Add lines to the center shape with the darker orange. These lines should be coming from the bottom center and evenly separate the shape into thirds.
D) Using white paint, paint three teardrop shapes in the center of each third. Let dry.
E) Apply white paint to the bar burlap strip and top with Iridescent Glitter.
A) Use your Fabric Scissors to clean up any rough edges.
B) Take the bottom end of a smaller Paint Brush and poke a hole in each top corner.
String each fruit onto the Jute in a fun, alternating pattern! You can wrap a piece of tape around the very edge of the jute to keep it from unraveling.
Change up the colors of the citrus fruit to add lemons and limes to the mix!
