Make these festive shimmering stars for your Cinco de Mayo Fiesta!
Step 1:
Print out template on card stock and cut out following along blue line.
Step 2:
(A.) Use yellow puffy paint to fill the right side of every other diamond shape on inner center of star, use blue puffy paint to fill in left side next to yellow paint. (B.) Repeat the same process on outer lining of star for “V” shapes. Keeping blue on left and yellow on right, leave every other “V” blank.
Step 3:
(A.) Use blue and yellow puffy paint to outline blank “V” shapes by making small dots and alternating colors.
(B.) Use orange puffy paint to create straight lines from center of star by following along the dashed lines and ending at each end point of star, let paint dry completely.
Step 4:
(A.) Carefully fold along each straight line of orange puffy paint in upward position. (B.) Fold shorter lines in between downward.
(C.) Fold angled side flaps along points of star down and secure to back side of star with glue.
Step 5:
(A.) Using the exacto knife, cut a small “X” into center of star. (B.) Insert poster light bulb of poster light string through “X” mark through center. (C.) Hot glue light in at base from back of star. (D.) Hot glue orange pom poms at each end of star point to match orange paint lines.
