Make your own sweet bouquet this Valentine’s Day with these unique felt lollipop flowers!
Step 1:
A) To create the felt flowers, cut 3 different colored felt squares. The varying sizes will include 2 squares sized at 3.5” x 3.5” and 1 square sized at 4.5” x 4.5”.
B) Fold your different sized squares once vertically and then horizontally.
C) Cut a heart shape into the felt, cutting along the fold of the felt. This technique is similar to making paper snowflakes.
Step 2:
To add sparkle, apply tacky glue to the edges of the petals. Sprinkle glitter over wet glue areas. Let dry and shake off loose glitter.
Step 3:
To give your flowers a “pleated” look, place a dab of hot glue along the 4 creases in the flower. Make sure to not apply glue directly in the center of your flower. Pinch and hold the felt in place until glue is dry. Do this around the entire flower.
Step 4:
Take your finished flowers and snip a hole in the center of each felt layer. Stack around the center of the pops.
Step 5:
To create a stem, carefully wrap the green glitter tape around the dowel and pop stick. Wrap your tape on an angle to make wrapping easier and more uniformed. To make longer stems, attach dowels to the pops.
Step 6:
To make the perfect gift, create a leaf gift tag! Cut a 2” x 2” sheet of green construction paper and fold it in half. Cut a tear shape along the edge. Unfold to reveal your leaf!
