Create a custom canvas perfect for any baby’s room.
Step 1:
Create the first letter of baby’s name using painters tape. A useful tip is to use a poster knife to clean edges or cut letters with curves such as “S”, “O” and “D”. Holding canvas vertically, add the tape letter to your canvas, 3” in from the left side of the canvas.
Step 2:
Mix red and white paint to create a light pink. Paint the entire canvas over your letter and let dry.
Step 3:
Add painters tape horizontally, 2” apart, creating stripes across the canvas. Paint canvas medium pink and let dry.
Step 4:
Peel off all tape and add a new strip of tape vertically, leaving 3” from the left side along the edge of your letter. Mix black and white paint to create a medium gray. Paint the left side and let dry.
Step 5:
Pick out small letters to spell baby’s name. Paint on a layer of white, let dry, then add a second layer of white and immediately transfer the letter to glitter. Cover in the glitter and let dry.
Step 6:
Glue letters vertically in the center of the gray strip to spell baby’s name.
Step 7:
Glue silver ribbon along the edge of gray. Then tie a bow and glue it towards the top of the canvas along the silver ribbon.
